Coventry-Eagle Soars at Stafford

This model features an enormous 976 cc V-twin J.A.P. engine and a three-speed Sturmey-Archer gearbox. The bike is all chain driven and, even though it’s going on for 90 years old, it is still guaranteed to hit 80 mph.

Coventry-Eagle only manufactured motorcycles for just over thirty years, and the Flying Eight became more and more uncommon after the 1920’s. This was due largely to the company focusing more on producing two-strokes during the depression of the 1930’s.
