Author Mick Duckworth and the man behind the project Norman Hyde (a veteran of the department) addressed the audience, which included Doug’s son Brendan, ex-Triumph men including John Walford, Bob Trigg and David Green, as well as racers Paul Smart, Percy Tait, John Cooper and Tony Jefferies, among many others.
Commented Mick: “I’ve known Norman was keen to do something about his old boss for years. I was pleased to do it. It’s been a very enjoyable experience, everybody made a coherent team.”
