With most of its plans in place and the deadline for World Super Bike applications drawing near, the BMW-backed team is looking for additional sponsors to round out its budget.

Larsen said: “We are trying to establish a two rider Evo World Superbike team, with BMWs. BMW has offered its material, an engineer, hospitality, and a great deal of marketing integration for potential title sponsors.

“That marketing integration is a considerable amount. It is obviously a key element because it means we are able to offer potential partners merchandising, exposure, all the communication that BMW do in terms of Motorsport and WSB. They would get on the official website, etc. That is from the BMW side.”

Although BMW has offered its material support, use of the old official BMW workshop in Germany, experienced personnel and technical partners, the private team still requires additional financial backing.

Corser said: “Pretty much all we need is some more money to get the project up and running. I think that the involvement of people like Tom and me in the team and my connection to BMW is strong.

“That means that I think I can bring not only a lot of advice to the team but also the riders, helping them with bike set-up and on the technical side. I would say that these are fairly strong points of our project.”
