In your look back over eight decades of motorcycle sport at Cadwell Park 80th anniversary celebrations you seem to have missed the one major decade
I cannot see or read any mention of the 1960s in your article?
Surely this was a true classic decade, with the likes of Mike Hailwood, Phil Read, Bill Ivy and many other top riders racing at this circuit. They would be chased home by the top short circuit men of the day like John Cooper, Rod Gould, Dan Gould, Dan Shorey, Alan Barnett and others.
This was also the period that attracted top continental sidecar crews on their works BMW outfits to the big end of season International meeting.
Your story about this anniversary could have been so good, but unfortunately you missed out too much to give this celebration the coverage it deserved.
