The Bonhams Motorcycle team is full-throttle preparing motorcycles for their two-day Autumn Stafford Sale on October 14th and 15th. Its set to be another exhilarating auction, held alongside the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show in Stafford, showcasing the increasing appeal of emerging and modern classic motorcycles from the 1970s, 80s, and now includes retro-cool bikes from the 90s. The Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show has grown in popularity year after year and now regularly welcomes more than 30,000 enthusiasts through its doors.
James Stensel, head of Bonhams Motorcycles Department said:

One of the many highlights is a carefully curated collection of iconic Japanese classic motorcycles, spanning the 1980s and 1990s. The collection demonstrates the technological excellence of Japanese engineering, and features landmark models from the stables of Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yamaha. All the machines have been subject to comprehensive detailed restoration and have fulfilled the owner’s boyhood dreams of one day owning such legendary motorcycles.
Heading the single-owner collection is a 1988 Kawasaki ZX-10B Tomcat which has covered less than 4,000 miles from new. Sourced from Texas, this dry climate machine has benefited from a comprehensive and no expense spared refresh.
One of the most exciting superbikes of the 1980s, which is estimated at £4,000-6,000, the ZX10 boasted 130-plus horsepower, a top speed of around 165mph, aggressive styling, and advanced suspension, delivering thrilling speed and precision on the road.
