No missing the Classic Bike Guide main stand and around the back, on the stage, you’ll see a couple of Honda’s state of the art superbikes, plus a lovely period TZ Yamaha, all close to the hearts of the guests of honour Steve Plater and Alan Carter. The New Imperial club has a couple of unrestored gems plus some breathtaking restorations and the Triumph Missing Lincs branch opposite has a wonderfully varied display including the last of the oil in frame 650cc Bonnevilles, a drop dead gorgeous Mountain Cub, Trident and side valve twin TRW, plus a probably unique Hinckley built Speed Triple fitted with a 750cc Meriden Bonneville engine – keep an eye out for this one in CBG come springtime. Add to that some lovely Moto Morinis, a stunning MV Agusta Magni special, Wards Riverside 350cc street scrambler and more besides and you’ll get a feel for what you missed!
There’s more to come soon, so keep an eye on the website as I guide you around some of the club and trade entries in due course. Nigel Clark, Editor
