A vintage market offered clothing and all sorts of paraphernalia for those who liked time travel from their wardrobes, or lifestyle. Music from the decade was constant and courtesy of both live bands and DJs. It either kept the dance-floor in the marquee busy, or, later, in the Blue Bird Room in the Clubhouse until late evening.
Outside, in the paddock, the transport element was also kept within period, although support for the motorcycling side of things was rather lacking this year. One exception was the Stevens family, from Egham, who arrived with a 1933 Calthorpe Ivory sidecar outfit that made a fine sight when it was parked outside the office of the Clerk of the Course. Chris Stevens, the driver, had bought the outfit some eight years ago and encountered no real problems during the ensuing renovation work. He now uses it for his daily commute to work.
