In this issue, read part five of our Can-Am 250cc enduro bike rebuild. Now it’s in a complete enough state for us to offer it up as a competition prize. The bike’s rebuild has been overseen by industry specialists and the engine painstakingly assembled by Richard Nixon from the Can-Am clinic.
The bike was on display at the Stafford and Lanark classic bike shows, so you may have already seen it, and it’s looking as pretty as a picture in its new colours. It’ll be trialled and fully tested by CDB editor Tim Britton at a selection of events throughout 2012, culminating in the Hot Trod Enduro in Northumberland in September.
We’ve registered and MoT’d the bike – so it’s road legal and ready to go. If you ever hankered after getting involved in off-road sport, or fancied a light, reliable road bike, this is the perfect competition prize for you!
Also in this issue, tuning the Villiers engine, Classic Dirt Bike catches up with Harry Stanistreet at Red Marley to check out his Dot scrambler and the latest in our sidecar test series, this time it’s Chris Batt’s Triumph-powered outfit.
Not forgetting a genuine ‘bike found in back yard shed’ moment, a JCM 240 SR, Rob Wilkinson’s suspension tech teach-in, Can-Am’s MX-3, oddly named ‘Black Widow’ by the marketing boys, and all the usual regulars, news, products, and your favourite columnists and pics.
