The Bonhams Motorcycle Department is offering for sale the highly anticipated Forshaw Speedway Race Jacket Collection, which will be offered online at No Reserve from 3rd to 13th November on BonhamsCars.com
The collection represents decades of speedway history, and the sale follows the successful 2022 auction at Stafford of 31 Speedway Motorcycles from the same collection.
The collection was amassed by the late enthusiast and engineer Richard Forshaw, whose father, Captain Forshaw, was a former motorcycle racer before founding the family’s respected Aston Martin specialist business in Dorset. Richard was also, in his own words “a former, if undistinguished, speedway rider now with a passion for collecting the machinery of the sport”.
This extensive collection of jackets showcases team colours from 65 different tracks and many different riders.
