Star turn was the 1924 NUT, which exceeded its estimate of £15,000, going down to a bidder in the room for £17,900.
From the same year was a Sunbeam Sprint, which had been unearthed from the back of a car workshop, in Bristol, during the 1970s. It had obviously been used for competition work sometime during its life and carried the name ‘George Duncan Special’. It too just pipped its estimate, selling for £10,500.
Other motorcycles included a 1931 Velocette GTP, Matchless 650cc G12, a 1971 BSA Bantam and a 1990 Harley-Davidson Sportster. A satisfactory 85% of lots sold.
