That special Ferrari…

A successor to the V6-powered Ferrari 156 F1, this machine’s V8 engine took John Surtees to world championship victory in the 1964 Formula 1 season. It was a win that made him the first, and only, person to ever capture world crowns in both car and bike disciplines.

Following a protest by Ferrari at the end of the championship year, the US-based NART team entered the car into the final two races and secured the points needed to claim overall victory.

The result means that this is the only world championship winning Ferrari that has colours different to the traditional Rosso corsa so synonymous with the Italian racing giants.
