Entitled Joey Dunlop – Road Racing Legend, organisers at the Isle of Man Government Department of Economic Development confirmed the weekend will celebrate the star who died in 2000, not just at the TT where he won 26 titles, but also the F1 TT World Championship days, as well as his successful racing career in Ireland.
Big hair, shoulder pads, ripped jeans and neon clothes are expected to be the order of the day with the fancy dress themed Paddock Carnival at the Grandstand on Friday, August 22.
There will also be a parade lap featuring Joey’s 26 biggest career rivals, with appropriate representatives when a rider is unavailable. The Classic TT weekend will again feature two race days on Saturday, August 23, and Monday, August 25.
