The UK’s leading sports bike title will be taken on by the independent publisher and printers from its October issue, due for release in mid-September, although both parties will work closely on the transition for the remainder of 2014.
Mortons Media Group publishing director Dan Savage said it is an exciting time for both the company and the title: “Fast Bikes is the perfect fit for our modern motorcycle portfolio which includes Motorcycle Sport & Leisure and Motor Cycle Monthly.
“We can’t wait to take the magazine forward over the coming years.”
The news comes just a week after Mortons added the Classic Dirt Bike Show at Telford’s International Centre to its growing events programme.
Fast Bikes will continue to be produced by its current team of editorial staff, building on experience and knowledge that’s been developed over several years.
Dan added: “The current product is successful and well-liked by its audience; that’s been one of the key factors in our decision making.
“We’ll be utilising our expertise in the motorcycle market, particularly in events, to ensure that Fast Bikes continues to enhance its position as the favoured read of sports bike enthusiasts across the UK and beyond.”
