Fans will be able to learn about the life and times of Steve ‘Stavros’ Parrish, who will provide a colorful, humorous and, at times, daring portrayal of his career. As an added bonus everyone booking a ticket will receive free entry to the National Motorcycle Museum collection on the day of the show!
Steve Parrish raced at the highest level of motorcycle racing, becoming British Champion in 1976 and fifth in the 1977 500cc World Championship, as team mate to that year’s champion Barry Sheene.
The Museum’s open from 08.30 and Steve’s evening slot is scheduled for 19.30. There is a bar and full catering facilities.
Tickets are £20 and you can book by phone on (0121) 7042784, email: [email protected] or online: www.thenmmshop.co.uk
On the Saturday, there will be free admission to the Museum to celebrate the company’s successes over the last 30 years. Free guided tours are included and visitors will be handed a schedule on attendance, so tours can be efficiently organised.
There will also be an indoor autojumble, ‘try a bike training’, firing up of iconic bikes, four 45 minute chat shows, focusing on the bikes and people behind ‘The Norton Rotary years’, ‘Slippery Sam’, ‘Norton 750 racers and the NVT challenge’ and the ‘TT machines’.
Other attractions include celebratory book signings, a photo studio service, where you can be snapped astride the TT winning Norton Rotary for a cost of £2.50, a wheelie machine, raffle draw and more. It all adds up to a super-sounding event.
