Challenging ride…

A spokesman for the club said: “This year, the club has decided to take up an offer by local well known trials venue landowner, Barry Jones.

“He’s using his local knowledge and pulling in a lot of favours to get us onto some of the best trials venues in the area, most of which are previously unused.

“The trial will start at Barry’s place, Plas Onn farm, and will take in both roads and green lanes, so bikes will need to be road legal. The trial will visit Selatyn, Llechrydau, and the beautiful Glyn Ceiriog Valley and although some sections will be old favourites, the majority will be brand new making this an event not to be missed.”

He said there would be less taxing routes available for riders of older machines.

“Two routes of sensible sections will be marked out for the classic boys, but its also open to twinshocks and a limited number of modern bikes to fill the entry,” he said. “A figure-of-eight route will allow riders to get their lunch, which is included in the entry price, and top up with petrol.”

Plas Onn is easily accessible and about half an hour’s journey from Wrexham or Oswestry. Entries will close on Wednesday, September 19.
