Giacomo Agostini is, still, Italy’s most successful and most glamorous motorcycle road racer and, some would argue, the greatest riders of all time. They would have good reason too, when you consider his record of 15 world titles; 123 grand prix victories, 18 Italian Championships, 10 Isle of Man Tourist Trophy wins and more than 300 victories in his career.tcm-nov2016-p11

Known worldwide as ‘Ago’ (or Mino to his close friends), he was born in Brescia, Lombardia, in June, 1942, the eldest of three brothers. At age 11 he started riding a 50cc Bianchi Aquilotto, but it was not until he was 19 that he made his competition debut riding his 175cc Morini Settebello into second place in the Trento-Bondone hillclimb.
